GUESTBOOK

What a lovely week. The weather has been great, especially the day when the weather forecaster said it would rain ALL day, and it was brilliant sunshine. The cove is lovely and you don't realise it is a sandy beach unless you go down when the tide is out (the first night we went down and the tide was in and we thought it was just a rocky harbour, but next day different time sea out, beach lovely and sea calm, even my husband swam in it - in a wet suit, mind). Walks lovely. We walked to the rocky outcrop on a couple of days. It's a lovely view. Cottage is lovely, everything you need, the bedroom a little cold at night, but soon warms up once the fire goes on. The robins are lovely. We feed them every day and yes they are cheeky.

We cannot believe how quickly our week went at Cappy Cottage, which shows how much fun, relaxing and adventurous it was. We felt like Bear Grylls on our walk on the coastal path to Mousehole. The path is rather treacherous, but not quite as hairy as the descent down to Pedn Vounder beach which involved a wee spot of rock climbing at the end. However, our efforts were well worth the bother as it's the most beautiful beach we have found in Cornwall. Very tranquil and serene (however I feel obliged to warn you that it is nudist..!) Best meal was the fish and chips at The Harbour Cafe in St Ives. We were not too impressed with The Kings Arms or Trewidden Garden at this time of year. To the people who come after us: go for coastal paths, hidden coves and crab!
